Maternity Care

If you’re thinking about having a baby, a preconception counseling appointment can help you understand how to prepare your body to get pregnant and increase your chances for a healthy pregnancy.

If you’ve had problems with a previous pregnancy, have a family history of genetic disorders, or have difficulty conceiving, our specialists in high-risk pregnancy, prenatal genetics, and fertility can help you plan for pregnancy.

Ideally, you should schedule your preconception counseling appointment three to six months before trying to get pregnant. The goal is to get your body as healthy as possible and to address any medical issues before you get pregnant.
